AI training jobs
AI training jobs are hiring. More people find out every month.
On Oct 17, 2026, the job boards we track listed 6,596 open AI training roles. Mercor lists 294 at a median posted $60–100 an hour. Alignerr alone lists 5,667.
AI labs pay people to write, rate and correct their models' answers. Generalists see about $15–50 an hour advertised; experts in coding, STEM, law and medicine see $40–150. No platform guarantees hours, so apply to two or three this week, before your field's projects fill.

Employers are already sorting people by AI skill. 66% of leaders say they wouldn't hire someone without it (Microsoft and LinkedIn, 2024), and jobs that ask for AI skills pay a 62% average wage premium (PwC, 2026). Training AI models is paid work that puts you inside the systems those employers are hiring for.
Other people have noticed. US searches for "outlier ai" run about 74,000 a month, up 95% in a year (DataForSEO, October 2026). More applicants sit the same assessments for the same projects every month.

FAQ
Which AI training platform pays the most?
For experts, Mercor, Handshake AI, Alignerr and micro1 advertise the highest rates (roughly $50–125+ an hour for specialist roles). For generalists, DataAnnotation publishes the highest starting range ($25–50+ an hour). Your field moves the rate more than the platform does, so lead with your strongest credential.
Can I do AI training jobs with no experience?
Yes, for generalist rating and writing work, if you pass the assessments. No AI experience is required; the tests check careful reading, clear writing and following detailed guidelines. Expect lower advertised rates and more competition than expert roles, and take the assessment when you have an uninterrupted hour.
Are AI training jobs legit?
The main platforms are real companies that pay. The scams are copycats that contact you on WhatsApp, Telegram or LinkedIn and later ask for a fee or a crypto deposit. Real platforms never charge you. Apply only on the platform's own site.
How many platforms should I join?
Two or three. Work comes in waves and projects end without notice, so people who get steady work usually keep several platforms open at once.
